Before converting a confidential logo: check privacy and limits
A file picker is not proof that a service uploads your image, and a privacy slogan is not proof that it stays local. Check the actual workflow before using unreleased artwork.
Verify what leaves the browser
IcoJet’s current converter reads the selected file in the browser and generates the download locally. To verify a deployment, open the Network panel, clear it, select a harmless test image and convert it. Look for requests carrying the image. Loading the webpage still contacts its server, and added scripts or extensions can change the environment.
Prepare an accepted input
Use PNG, JPEG, GIF, BMP or WebP. SVG, HEIC, PDF and ICO input are not supported here; export a PNG first. The limits are 8 MiB per file, 40 million pixels in total and 8192 pixels on either edge. A highly compressed image can pass the byte limit but still exceed the pixel limit.
Keep a reliable working copy
For animated artwork, export the exact still frame you want before conversion; this tool does not produce animated ICO. Keep the editable source and compare the downloaded result in its destination. For highly sensitive material, follow your organization’s approved local workflow rather than assuming any publicly hosted page is an offline application.
