Free online ICO converter
Turn PNG, JPEG, GIF, BMP or WebP images into one ICO file containing the icon sizes you choose, from 16×16 to 256×256 pixels.
Conversion happens locally in your browser. Your source image is not uploaded, stored or shared with a third-party conversion service.
Choose a PNG, JPEG, GIF, BMP or WebP image, then select the icon resolutions you need. A single ICO file can contain several sizes, allowing Windows, desktop software and browsers to choose the sharpest version for each context. For best results, begin with a square image that is at least 256 × 256 pixels and has clear edges.
The converter resizes the source into every selected resolution and packages those images into one standards-compatible ICO download. Common choices include 16 and 32 pixels for compact interface elements, 48 and 64 pixels for desktop views, and 128 or 256 pixels for high-density displays. You can change the selection before converting without modifying your original file.
Processing takes place in your current browser tab. The selected picture is read with browser APIs, checked for an allowed format and reasonable dimensions, and converted locally. It is not sent to a conversion server. Closing or refreshing the page clears the working data held by the tool, although a downloaded ICO remains in the folder chosen by your browser.
This service is useful for application icons, Windows shortcuts and favicon workflows that specifically require ICO. Test the result in the program or operating system where it will be used, because icon caching may delay visible changes. If an old icon remains, clear the relevant application or browser cache and confirm that the required resolution was included.
